Highlights
Overall, 81% of Australians reporting cutting down on energy consumption in the month prior to the survey and 69% said they had actively looked to reduce their energy bills in the past 12 months
Some 71% of customers interviewed who had a time of use tariff linked to a smart meter reported a significant or partial reduction in energy costs since moving onto the tariff
Reducing energy use in the home was classified as a high priority for 62% of households, behind recycling (71%) and ahead of purchasing new energy efficient appliances (45%)
